Rainy Sunday

It has rained here all day and I've been really lazy. I did get some towels washed, dried, folded and put away and we had taco's for dinner. Later this after noon I made some Fudgies (AKA no bake cookies).

I had mentioned in my Thanksgiving post that I would tell of some of my cooking mishaps. I was supposed to make crock pot meatballs for April's boyfriend Curtis. I normally put them in the crock pot in the morning. I don't know what was wrong with me Thanksgiving day because I forgot all about fixing them that morning! Soon as April, Curtis and Alyssa pulled into my driveway Thanksgiving day I remembered I had forgotten to do the meatballs! I was so upset with myself. The one thing Curtis loves and I forgot it! I did go ahead and mixed them up and started the crock pot, but they were not ready to eat until later that night and I have to say they were the best I've ever made. :x The other thing that I forgot was the green beans. I did remember to warm them in the microwave while we were heating everything up to go on the table, but I forgot to take them out of the microwave! lol They were the last dish that got warmed. Eric was about to use the microwave later that night and when he opened it there sat the green beans! OOPS! Did you have any Thanksgiving mishaps in your kitchen? If so, care to share?

I was planning on making homemade rolls. It was too time consuming with all the other stuff I had to cook and I just cooked up some garlic flavored crescent rolls (pillsbury). I had the turkey still in the oven and sweet potato casserole so I guess I was not paying much attention to the rolls and the bottoms got black. I just cut the bottoms off and they were fine.

Even after I reminded everyone, the carmelized onions were still in the fridge when we sat down to dinner :o) I nuked them quick, but that was the thing I knew I'd forget, and I didn't disappoint myself ;o)

I think I want a white fake tree. Justin would say no. I dont think the lights will make the trees catch fire. Im pretty paranoid and that doesnt seem to worry me. I turn the lights off when I leave the house.

Ok Let me try this again under my own name. I deleted the last comment. I'm working on a blog for Russell (blog about our city) and he wants to put that weather thing on it that you have on your blog. I tried and can't figure it out. All the other weather things out there don't seem to fit on the page. Can you help me?? Please?
