I am so in love with that store! My husband drove so I didn't have to park, the area the store is in is called Cary Town. Parking is horrible there as you have to park on the side of the road and I'm not good at parallel parking. :x After we parked the car we had to go searching for the store. Keith used Lola his GPS and she got us there, but she was off by a few blocks. We walked the wrong way and had to turn around and go back to where the car was and walked the right way to the store, about a block from our parking spot. Once we got to the store I walked in an the smell in the store was wonderful! If you ever get a chance to go to a Penzey store go, you wont regret it. There was a man working in here and his name was Spicy Joe and he was very helpful. He recommended a few things to Keith but Keith only bought one of his recommendations, the Sandwich Seasoning. Keith was very impressed with the store and he looked and smelled everything! Oh yea I forgot to mention, they have jars and you can actually smell the spice before you buy it, it's so neat!
Here is a list of the spices I bought today:
Bay Leaves
Fox Point Seasoning
Sandwich Sprinkle
Thyme
Nutmeg
Tuscan Sunset
Garlic Powder
Basil
Oregano
Minced Onion
And an empty jar for my Bay Leaves
We will defiantly be going back to this store!
After we got home Keith was dying to try the Fox Point in scrambled eggs, so I made us both some scrambled eggs. Oh my is that stuff good in scrambled eggs!
Here a pic of my new spices:
